About Myle Meta
Myle started around 2015.
Founder Ariel Gorelik had a goal. He wanted a user-friendly vape. But it had to be stylish and a fine alternative to cigarettes.
So, he came up with this brand. It grew fast. So quick that it earned the “Best Brand” award at the 2022 MENA Vape Awards. This boosted the vape brand name more.
Although you may find different Myle Meta pods, they currently have V4 and the newer V5. The brand upgraded its features with the latter.
Pros of Myle Meta
- Long-lasting pods
- USB-C fast charging
- Flavor choice
- High puff count
- More juice
Cons of Myle Meta
- Older V4 has limitations
- Slightly expensive
About Juul
The pod fever started with this brand.
It popped up in 2015 from Pax Labs. Founders Adam Bowen and James Monsees were Standform grads. They made a device that looked like a USB stick. It was sleek and discreet.
That became a huge phenomenon. The term “Juuling” became popular. Especially among the younger group.
Juul started with some innovations. But they leveled them up with the newer Juul 2 model. This led to winning the “Product of the Year” award in the UK in 2023.
Pros of Juul
- Sleek, discreet design
- Smoother throat hit
- Widely available
- Reasonable range
- Big cloud production
Cons of Juul
- Smaller pods
- Proprietary charger
Key Differences Between Myle and Juul
Puff Count
How long does a pod last?
That’s your puff count. It refers to the total number of inhalations your vape can give before running out of juice or battery.
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
V4: 240-500 puffs V5: 1000-1600 puffs. |
Gen 1: 100-300 puffs Gen 2: 400-1000 puffs |
Typically, a vaper takes around 200 puffs a day on average.
In that case, Myle V5 lasts the longest. This one is a long-hauler. It can last you 8 days or more if you’re a light vaper. The older pod gives less. About 1 to 3 days of use.
The original Juul has the least puff count. About 1.5 days. But with the newer Juul 2, you get 2 to 5 days.
Winner: Myle Meta V5
It lasts the longest by a big margin. You get to enjoy fewer frequent pod replacements.
Liquid Capacity
Juice tank tells you how much fuel the pod has.
The more liquid. The more puffs you get. Then again, it’s not just about the capacity. It’s also how effectively the vape uses the liquid. Some vapes use it faster.
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
V4: 0.9mL V5: 2mL |
Gen 1: 0.7mL Gen 2: 1.2mL |
Myle V5 has the biggest tank. Its coil is also effective. This makes the vape use less juice and produces more puffs per mL. However, V4 holds 0.9mL. So, you may get a lower puff count from that.
Original Juul holds the least amount of juice. Hence, you get only 100-300 puffs from that. But the newer Juul 2 with its second big tank can make more puffs than the Myle V4. About 1000 puffs.
That said, Myle users may still have to replace less often. It’s because the coil makes it last longer.
Winner: Myle Meta V5
It has the most juice. And the coil uses it super effectively.
Battery
The puff time you get between charges.
That’s battery life. This specification is measured in mAh. Typically, every 100 mAh gives around 1 hour of moderate puffing.
Here’s the battery capacity comparison for you!
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
V4: 220mAh, 2h V5: 380mAh, 4h. |
Gen 1: 250mAh, 2.5h Gen 2: 350mAh, 3.5h |
Myle Meta V5’s battery is a beast. You can relish nearly 4 hours of usage before it needs a “recharge”. It’s even higher than Juul and older Myle versions. With the V4, you get about 2 hours of use.
Speaking of Juul, you get 3.5 hours with the Juul 2 and 2.5 hours with the Juul 1. Although newer Juul’s battery is closer, it may die sooner than V5.
When it comes to older versions, Juul 2 wins since it lasts longer than V4.
However, real-world time gets shorter if someone takes long or frequent puffs. Both systems need at least one recharge a day for heavy vapers.
Winner: Tie
Although Myle Meta V5 lasts the longest, Juul 2 gives about the same puffing time.
Charging
Both Myle and Juul pods have rechargeable batteries. But how long do you wait? That’s the question.
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
V4: Micro USB, 60-90min V5: USB-C, 40-60min |
Gen 1 & 2 Special Magnetic Dock. 40-60min |
Myle Meta V5 charges with Type-C. It’s modern and brings the fastest charging power. Just give it 40-60 minutes, and it’ll go 100%. V4 has a Micro-USB port. It may charge slowly. About 60 to 90 minutes.
For Juul pods, it works differently. Both use a special magnetic dock. You click the device onto it and plug it into a laptop or adapter. It takes around 40 to 60 minutes to charge.
USB-C is the fastest here. The magnetic dock is good, but not convenient. Because if you forget the Juul dock, you can’t charge. OTOH, with USB-C, you can use any charger cable.
Winner: Tie
Both Myle V5 and Juul pods have the fastest charging power.
Nicotine Level
This is about strength and feel.
Both Myle and Juul have 5% nicotine strengths. That’s pretty strong. The throat hit is harsher. And the flavor can feel slightly intense. But masked-like intense.
However, you may find differences in other options.
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
5% and 2% |
5% and 1.8% |
See! Myle pods have 2% nicotine, whereas Juul ones have 1.8%.
With Myle, you get a stronger sensation in your throat. The flavor can taste sharper and peppery. Juuls are mainly nicotine salt devices, so the throat hit will be smoother. And you get to relish more nuanced flavors.
Interestingly, Juul uses nicotine salts. So, even the strongest nicotine strengths don’t feel super-harsh and annoying. The kick is just right.
Winner: Tie
Both Myle and Juul pods ensure the right throat hit and flavor feel.
Flavor
The vape juice carries lots of stuff.
2 common ingredients are PG and VG. They decide the flavor and vapor level.
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
50/50 VG/PG |
70/30 VG/PG |
Myle juice has 50/50 VG/PG. This is the perfect balance. You get stronger flavors from the PG. Plus, there’s a good amount of VG to make the flavor taste full.
Juul juice has more VG than PG. So, it’s a VG-heavy mix. From that, you’ll get to enjoy bigger and denser clouds. However, it can mute the flavors a little. Then again, the nicotine makes up for the low PG level.
Winner: Tie
Myle for flavor and vapor balance. Juul for bigger, denser cloud production.
Build Quality
Both Myle and Juul are small vapes
But how do they feel in your hand? This depends on what they’re made of. Of course, all pod models use quality materials. Be it in the body or coil.
But there are slight differences.
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
Plastics Metal Ceramic |
Plastics Stainless steel Nichrome |
Myle Meta feels premium. It uses quality plastics and metal. There is some weight to it. So, they’re solid. The ceramic coil is a fine touch. Ceramic heats evenly and lasts long. Plus, it avoids burnt tastes.
Juul’s design is a minimalist genius. It’s lightweight. Not flimsy. The plastic is heat-resistant and food-grade. So, you’ll find it durable. Inside is a Nichrome coil and a stainless steel vapor path. They work to heat fast but bring flavorful and stronger puffs.
Of course, you have to use proprietary pods and bodies when it comes to device compatibility. You can’t mix and match.
One major difference is that-
Myle pods lock firmly. Juul uses a magnet system. But both are stable.
Winner: Tie
Myle for modern design and Juul for ultra-slim, light body.
Price
Prices actually vary by country, store, and pack size.
However, the general ranges look like this.
|
Myle |
Juul |
|
$22-$38 (V4 cheaper, V5 priciest) |
$9-$25 (Juul 1 cheapest, Juul 2 pricier) |
Juul is usually cheaper upfront. You can get a kit for around $25. It’s fine for beginners and casual vapers.
Myle pods cost more to start. A device can go close to $40. So, it can be a premium pick.
Now, think about the long term. The real costs come from buying pods. Myle pods can last longer than Juul pods. This may make Myle cheaper over time.
Winner: Juul
If you like to spend less, Juul pods are your go-to device.
Which Pod Vape Should You Choose? Juul Vs. Myle
Both devices do different things well.
Myle feels like a steady, long-lasting option. The big pod size. Ceramic coil. USB-C charging. They all make it feel updated and easy to maintain. It’s more “slow and smooth.”
Juul feels like a quick-hit device. Small pods. Bigger, denser clouds. The super slim body. They make it feel more “huge and sharp.”
